CityBlock has been named a finalist in the highly-regarded National Student Housing Awards – the annual awards scheme voted on exclusively by students.
The accommodation provider, with developments in Lancaster, Durham and Reading, has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Small Provider Category’.
This comes following a strong first half of the year for CityBlock in which it has made a number of key senior appointments, launched a residential division, and received ANUK accreditation – recognising student accommodation providers that offer a high quality of service and housing – across all of its properties.
CityBlock prides itself on both the standard of its accommodation facilities and the support it provides to its residents, with student wellbeing a top priority in both the development and operation of its properties.
The winners of the awards are due to be announced in September.
Commenting on this Alison Bargh, Chief Operating Officer at CityBlock, said: “We’re thrilled to be shortlisted in such a prestigious awards scheme and the fact that they are based on direct feedback from over 30,000 students is just the icing on the cake. At CityBlock we work tirelessly to ensure we have happy students, with all of our accommodation designed with student wellbeing front of mind. We invite regular feedback from our students to ensure we’re getting it right and providing them with the facilities they need to have a healthy and enjoyable experience whilst at university.
“Being recognised as a finalist in the National Student Housing Awards is testament to our hard work in this area, throughout the whole CityBlock team. However, we won’t rest on our laurels and will continue to provide great value accommodation and superior levels of care to our students.”
