In 2014, CityBlock opened its doors to 100 students after completing its third development in Lancaster – CityBlock 3.

The UK’s first ever fossilised façade was integrated into the building, which saw it go on to win the Lancaster District Design Award. The development incorporated a substantial courtyard and became home to 100 students in a variety of cluster flats and studios. The commercial unit was let to Sainsbury’s Local.

Following a part-asset sale of the building to Empiric in 2015, CityBlock retained management of the building until June 2017.
