Lancaster 1, CityBlock’s first student accommodation development, was acquired in 2002 and completed in 2003.
The derelict site, situated on Penny Street in Lancaster, became the first purpose built, en-suite student accommodation in the city.
One of two Lancaster buildings CityBlock owned, developed and managed in the early 2000s, the development received significant investment to allow ongoing redevelopment, ensuring it met the ever-changing needs of students living in the city.
Following a part-asset sale of the building to Empiric in 2015, CityBlock retained management of the building until June 2017.
